PREMIUM ALUMINIUM BOAT TRAILERS
What we do:
Alloy Trailers NZ is a specialist manufacturer of top quality, heavy duty aluminium boat trailers, suitable for boats from 4.0m to 7.8m. Located on the North Shore in Auckland we are local and a proud NZ business. Alloy Trailers NZ designs custom boat trailers specifically for your boat.
What makes us different:
Unlike most other trailer manufacturers, we use a single piece of aluminium for the main support frame. This moves the stress to the material rather than the weld joints. Allowing your trailer to last longer and be more sturdy.
Our unique rocker system:
The rockers we use are custom built in-house. The center of the wheels are support on both sides which allow for the wheel to spin more freely. This allows for a much better experience when launching and docking your boat. We configure the rocker system to the hull structure of your boat.
We have sold over five hundred Alloy Trailers over the past five years for a huge range of both new and used boats including top brands such as Surtees, Extreme, Buccaneer, Haines Signiture, Steadcraft, Lazercraft, West Coaster, Stabicraft, McLay, Quintrex, Sea Ray, Senator, Smuggler, Fyran and Ramco.
Trailer Purchasing Advice
Our buying advice is as follows and is a great general guide for purchasing a new or replacement trailer, however you can configure your trailer however you like.
0-1500kg Tow weight - Single Axle:
We recommend Single Axle for tow weights less than 1500kg.
1500 - 2250kg Tow weight - Tandem with Hydraulic Brakes:
It is a legal requirement at 2000kg tow weight to have hydraulic brakes, however we highly recommend them at 1500kg for extra safety when travelling.
2250kg+ Tow weight - Tandem Electric Brakes:
It is a legal requirement at 2500kg tow weight to have electric brakes, however we highly recommend them at 2250kg for extra safety when travelling.
Fishing and Adventure's Alloy Trailer
We are continually looking to improve our products as well as develop new models. Our current R&D objective is to design and validate our aluminium frame for 3.5T boats up to 9.2m. We are doing rigorous testing in CAD software to ensure no cracks, bends or damage occurs over the lifetime of the trailer. We have already recieved a couple of inquires and are open to further inquires regarding heavy boats over 8m.
